mindfulness and compassion training

Mindfulness and compassion are skills you can develop as well as ways of being that can be embraced. Tens of thousands of research studies now show that they work with far-reaching and diverse benefits in many areas such as stress, anxiety, immune health, sleep and much more.​​

​

Many people arrive to mindfulness with a particular challenge they want to address, as I did with my chronic pain, but the relief they find tends not to stop there. Mindfulness works holistically and can give a whole new perspective on life, bringing meaning and more sustainable wellbeing. For some it also brings spiritual fulfilment without the need for religious affiliation.

Our world desperately needs compassion and few know that we can actually train in it. It's a resource we all have, but we need to know how to tap into it skilfully. The number one mistake people make is in neglecting self-compassion in favour of compassion for others. Addressing this imbalance can be life-changing.

Mindfulness

​Life and work can feel relentless, stressful and unsatisfying and many of us feel out of balance. Mindfulness guides us toward relief, renewed energy and fulfilment, through a shift to being in the moment, rather than getting caught up in going over the past and worrying about the future. 

Mindfulness gives us the inner space to reclaim the power of choice and find joy in life.

Compassion

Low self regard can undermine wellbeing and resilience. Compassion training involves learning how to shift from self-judgement to self-compassion. If we're able to care for ourselves, our nervous system becomes more regulated, and caring for others feels more authentic and possible. 

Compassion training is a healing for the heart.

Group Workshops

 

I offer mindfulness and compassion training for groups in a diverse range of settings from universities, to offices to, on one occasion, a stables at an equine retreat! I can give 8 week Mindfulness and/or Compassion Based Living Courses or bespoke workshops.

Includes a workbook and audios.

One to One Training

 

 I offer trainings one to one so that they can be tailored to you. This includes specially recorded audios and Whatsapp contact to support your practice at home between sessions.
