As well as teaching many courses as a tutor for the Mindfulness Association, I also run a drop-in called Fireside Mindfulness (approximately monthly) and offer retreat days and weekends in person in the UK and Ireland.

Fireside Mindfulness
Drop In
NEXT: Sunday 6th April, 5.00 - 6.30pm GMT
Friday 2nd May 5.00 - 6.30pm GMT
It's amazing what precious universal wisdom surfaces in these sessions, not from me, but from the group!
My vision for this is that it will feel a bit like stepping back in time to the ancient practice of fireside storytelling, but with a mindfulness flavour - and the slightly less cosy context of Zoom.

In these sessions we'll listen to a carefully selected little shower of stories, poems or quotes on a wisdom theme, couched in meditation. We'll spend time experiencing our inner response, followed by breakout rooms and sharing.
Fireside sharing was the original way to pass on the wisdom needed to more gracefully navigate being human together. Let's bring it back!

Meetings are on Zoom approximately monthly on Fridays or Sundays. Cost: £15. Link will be provided on booking.

For all levels of experience.
Homecoming: Poetry and Practices for True Refuge

Weekend retreat in Scarborough UK, with Fay Adams and Kristine Mackenzie-Janson, 30 May-1 June 2025
What if peace and fulfilment could be found within us, rather than in external pursuits?

There is something endearing, honourable and heartbreaking about the way us human beings seem to muddle our way through life. Each of us always attempting to belong, meet our human needs, find love, happiness, fulfilment. Endearing and honourable because there is dignity, tenacity and spirit in our ability to bounce back and find a way through against the odds to survive. Heartbreaking because often our strategies for finding peace and fulfilment are self-defeating and only serve to entrench our struggle – addictions, self-blame and blame of others, endlessly wanting more of this or that, overworking etc…
